LIFE COACH | Your Life By the Numbers

by | Oct 12, 2016

It’s not necessarily a trade secret, but there is work – and even WORKsheets – in collaborating with a coach. One of the best barometers of where to focus in the beginning of a coaching relationship, and subsequently what progress has been made, is rating areas in your life that tend to be the most important and most coveted. While ascribing numbers to areas of your life, on a scale of 1-10 no less, is somewhat akin to the nerve-racking process of receiving grades in school, the ONLY person these grades should matter to is YOU. And at the end of the day, you have all the power and fortitude within you to raise the “grades” in the areas that are most important to you. At times, it just takes some assistance.

This very “Life By Numbers” sheet is something I use in my own coaching practice to gauge what’s most important to clients and what areas they feel they currently are deficient in, sufficient in, or even soaring past expectations. It’s very telling. With or without a coach, I encourage you to print this out, cross out categories and add in different ones if that speaks to you, and sit with your wheel for a bit. I look forward to hearing about your experiences with this exercise.
